Guidance Trips Planned
The Guidance Department has planned two trips for high school students to help them make decisions for their futures.
On October 20th, Mrs. Wilder took the Senior Class to Hazard Community and Technical College for a college fair. More than 30 colleges and universities were represented. They also took an extensive tour of Hazard CTC’s facilities and programs. The students (and Counselor!) were very impressed with the services offered and technology provided.
Another trip is planned for November 22nd. Students in 12th, 11th, and 10th grades–interested in allied health/medical careers–will be taken on a two-hour tour of the Saint Joseph-London Hospital. Students will be introduced to various careers and programs within the hospital. They will also be addressed by the Human Resource Manager of the Hospital, who will talk about hiring, interviews, resumes, training and benefits. On the way home, the group will stop by Somerset Community & Technical College’s London campus and tour their brand new Allied Health building.
Please pray for our students as they learn more about their options and opportunities!
