The 2011 Red Bird Cross Country team is led by Coach Angela Schonauer and Asst. Coach, Beverly Reitz.  The Varsity runners are Steven Collett, Kevin Sturgill, Teddy Jack, Cody Nantz, Erik Young Brett Collett and Nate Smallwood.  Jairus Bray runs for the Junior Varsity.  The Conference Championship Meet is Thursday, October 27th at Cordia.  

EKU-Manchester invited our 7th graders to attend a program entitled “Colonels for Education” last Wednesday.  EKU student athletes and the asst. basketball coach were on hand to talk to our students about the importance of an education.  Time management, good study habits, and discipline were discussed by the panel.  Our students were great and well behaved. This year’s Red Bird Alumni Homecoming Celebration was a special time of reflection and joy for all ages.  Current Red Bird students were challenged to create mini-floats depicting different parts of Red Bird Mission’s history.  All the amazing floats were presented in a parade and judged on historical accuracy, detail, creativity, student involvement, originality, etc. [...]
